Madrid has this wonderful city park called 'El Retiro', officially Parque del Buen Retiro. It's quite a large park, 350 acres, but people familiar with New York's Central Park (843 acres) will think it's on the small side. Nevertheless, it provides enough space for locals to do all sorts of interesting things. Here, a group of young people practice Spanish folk dances at a gazebo/bandstand. When they noticed me snapping photos, they smilingly posed at the end of their set. |
