Amalfi Coast

In the pretty lakeside town of Castel Gandolfo, winter quarters for the Pope, we stopped for lunch at a restaurant recommended by our limo driver.  Here Pat Marietta and Lee Vetal chat with our driver in the attached gift shop.

The Bay of Naples.  We rose before dawn to be ready when our limo crew picked us up at 7am to rush headlong down the Amalfi Coast Road to have lunch in Positano.  Along the way, we made a side trip from the Autostrada to see the Bay of Naples.  45 minutes in, 45 minutes out for a 10 minute photo op.

If you don't have to pay attention to the narrow twisty road along the Amalfi Coast, you get to enjoy vistas like this across the Tyrhenian Sea.

Positano, like most locales along the coast, is two towns in one.  There is an upper town that the coast road runs through, and there is a lower town at beach-level.  Our restaurant is here on the beach.
