Looking south into The Needles.  Canyonlands is divided into three 'districts' delineated by the Green and Colorado rivers.  The Green in the west and the Colorado in the east flow south and join.  Between them is 'Island In The Sky' which holds Grandview Point.  Below the confluence, the Colorado splits the remainder into 'The Maze' west of the river, and 'The Needles' to the east.
