With a wink, Le Consulat calls itself "the Embassy of Savoy" Ambassade de Savoie).  In years past, Savoyards working or vacationing in Paris would use this restaurant as their home-away-from-home.

Some years back, Cathy and Joe gave us a CD titled "Dinner In Paris".  Its cover photo is of this restaurant, and Norene and I have vowed to have dinner in Paris here at Le Consulat on our very next trip.  Tonight we will learn how Parisians deal with les moules, mussels.
