Stockholm's old town is a maze of twisty little passages, all alike ;-)  Some of those streets are quite narrow, as this picture attests.

The outward appearance has been kept as in this charming street light, but the internals have been upgraded to modern standards.  The combination leaves you feeling that the real essence of Gamla stan has been skillfully retained.

Tyska kyrken (pronounced shirk-en).

The intersection of Ferkens Gränd at Osterlånggatan.  The stile prevents vehicles using Ferkens Gränd and is probably not modern; Osterlånggatan has long been pedestrians-only.
