Like the Grand Canyon, pictures fail to do justice to the beauty of the fjords.  They are best experienced in person.

It's June 15th, and Summer has not yet officially started.  The weather is mild, but cool, and the speed of the boat makes the wind-chill factor noticeable.  That water is barely warmer than ice.  One passenger notes that, in water like this, life jackets merely make recovery of the bodies easier.
