We went on a walking tour of Munich with Maxine, a definite Type-A from Australia.  Having lived in Munich for a dozen years, Maxine knew all the back alleys where interesting oddities lurk.  One such is this building, an example of several which can be seen around Munich.  The building is painted to look as if it has elaborate stone-work.  This shot, at a very high angle of incidence, reveals the reality: there is no depth to the carving.  The name for this technique, by the way, is 'graffiti'. |
